Spin off on the Boy Scout topic

Rolling down the highway
First I think the discussion has been good. But I want everyone to know, as business become more politically correct they are pulling funding from the local organizations too. Businesses are feeling great pressure from the GLBT community to separate themselves from the scouting program.

Many haven't moved, Chik-fil-A is one example. However, this latest wave is usually followed by several others.

If you feel strongly the BSA program needs to stay the way it is, please, please, please contact your local council and offer a donation buy Boy Scout popcorn, buy the discount cards do something to help. Ours here is the Atlanta Area Council http://www.atlantabsa.org/

If you contact them to make a donation, please tell them you are from Paulding County, Picketts Mill district so our area gets credit for it. We have a "community campaign" in progress now. If you'd rather get in touch with me, I have all the info you need to ensure all donations get to where they need to go. Right now those donations are still tax deductible.

I hope we can keep the BSA moving forward in the way it has for the last 100+ years. There are more and more kids that think they can't participate in scouting because of financial reasons. No boy is ever denied participation because of finances.
