So I sold the sled...

Quick update.

If y'all remember, a few weeks (months) back I asked what everyone thought my mom's '04 car was worth.

Well, TrophyWife listed it on a neighborhood webpage and I received a couple of calls about the car right away.

The first guy who looked at it gave me the "Well, according to Kelly Blue Book, the car is only worth $2500."

My exact reply "Okay, cool; go find another car in the same condition as this one, selling for $2500 & buy that one." ( he didn't buy the car... but admitted it was worth more than $2500)

The next gentleman pulled the same "KBB" line and I gave him the same answer.
I was asking $5,900.00 for the car and sold it to him for 5K (this was a Win-Win for sure).

It helped that he was wearing a Vietnam Vet baseball cap..... and there was also a USMC sticker on the back glass of mom's car.

It's kinda weird to be a bit melancholy about selling a car, but my parents took a lot of pride in keeping it pristine & besides, mom needed the money.

It's good to get this one checked off of my list and out of the garage...... (gotta make room for more toys.)

If you feel like it was a fair price and you liked who you sold it to then you did great. My dad sold my late mom's Lincoln last week as well. He held onto it for a few years but rarely drove it, it was also in excellent condition. He sold it to a lady from his church who happened to be one of my mom's good friends. Her husband is a walking accident so the agreement was it was her car and he is not to drive it.
