Sen. Rick Scott says GOP will flip at least four Dem Senate seats in 2022

Flipping four senate seats would be nice, but the GOP needs to get it's stuff together in order to accomplish that. If the GOP says they will reform health care, they will be lying to us. Every campaign season since Obamacare was passed we have been hearing that lie from Republicans.

He says the GOP will pick up GA, AZ, NH, and NV. These will be some interesting races. It would be nice if Republicans could avoid a primary in those states in order to save focus all their campaign money to the general election. In typical fashion though, Republicans will have all kinds of candidates in each state.

Perhaps the reason why Perdue dropped out a couple of days after he announced he would run, was because Doug Collins is going to run. Collins hasn't announced yet, but something or someone changed Perdue's mind for him.

Both senators in NH are female Democrats. Maggie Hassan who currently holds the seat, ran for it while governor of the state. She beat her female Republican candidate Kelly Ayotte who was the incumbent at the time, by only 0.2%. I'd have Ayotte run again in that one. It's going to take a woman to beat a woman there.

In NV the seat has been held by Catherine Cortez Masto since she one it in 2016 with 47.1% of the vote. She beat Joe Heck who had only 44% of the vote. Of the 17 counties in NV Masto won only Clark County where Las Vegas is located. Although Heck one the other 16 counties, he couldn't get the big one. I would like to see a strong conservative woman as the GOP candidate there.

Mark Kelly who is a retired Navy pilot and astronaut won the special election in 2020. He is also married to Gabby Giffords the former US Rep who some whack job liberal tried to assassinate. Kelly won that race partially because a lot of people still feel a lot of sympathy for Giffords. He also won that race because he won most of Maricopa County. Maricopa County was once a Republican stronghold until a lot of California liberals began emigrating there. He beat Martha McSally a retired Air Force fighter pilot who happens to be the first woman to fly in combat and the first woman to command a fighter squadron. On the downside, she's lost two senate races in the state. The first she lost was in 2018 to Democrat Kyrsten Sinema. They say the third time's the charm, but I don't know if that would be true if she ran again against Kelly. She lost to him by 3%. I don't think she can take the majority of Maricopa County though. I'd like to see a Republican who is a woman of color run against him in 2022. I think that's what it's going to take to beat him because it would take a decent percentage of minorities and women away from Kelly. That could turn the tide so to speak.
