Sellers on Amazon use dirty tricks to get each other suspended

The article is long...
It appears selling on Amazon is sooo coveted... folks will do anything (no limit to the dishonesty) to gain ratings.
I seriously doubt most of this practice could survive in a brick and mortar sales arrangement.

I left a bad review on a cell phone car cradle, it was really a horrible product, really poorly designed and executed. There was no way this thing could last a week. I was very clear and precise in the review about what the problems were, and why I wasn't happy with the seller's offer of a replacement instead of a refund. The seller immediately began harassing me by email, even threatening to sue. He left a response to my review calling me a liar and a plant from one of his competitors, publicly repeating his threat of a lawsuit. I got Amazon involved and they refunded my money and finally kicked the guy off after he refused to stop harassing me.

Yeah, some businesses have you sign an agreement that you won't leave a bad review.

I would never sign one of those...

I would explain if they cannot handle the heat...
Then their kitchen does not cook what I want to eat...

I bought a "license" of MS Office off ebay. The guy sent me a link to download the program, and a crack.

I sent him an email telling him I didn't buy an illegal crack, and he could either refund my money or I'd dispute charge, give him a bad review and report him to ebay.

He refunded me.

I try not to buy anything from a third party seller on Amazon, and I absolutely won't buy anything that isn't "fulfilled by Amazon" anymore unless I know the vendor.
