SCOTUS stays Texas law that allows police to arrest, detain illegal migrants

The Supreme Court has issued a stay on SB 4, the Texas law that gives police the ability to arrest anyone they believe has crossed into the U.S. illegally.

The appeals issued a "stay", meaning the law will go into effect, unless the Supreme Court gets involved.

"The temporary order, issued on Saturday by the federal appeals court will allow the law to be enforced after seven days if the U.S. Supreme Court does not intercede."

Absent intervention by the Supreme Court, the law will go into effect upon the conclusion of the pause on March 9.

Feels like the 1860's states rights vs. federal rights. In my opinion the founding fathers absolutely intended for states rights to be stronger than federal rights and that all states are sovereign territories.
