Sad that honesty should be so shocking to people

I returned a DVD to the store yesterday without a receipt. While doing so I informed the cashier that I had used a $10 coupon when I purchased it. She was cleared stunned by my honesty and thanked me for it. It made me sad.

On the other hand....

On Sunday in Daytona I realized I forgot to pack my flip-flops for the beach, so I scooted down to Winn-Dixie and found a pretty good pair for $12. There were some for $7, but they didn't look like they would hold up very well.

I took the pair to the 50 something year old cashier that looked like she had been weaned on vinigar and set them on the counter. The pair had one of those plastic things that tied them together. A lable was attached to the plastic with a 12$ price tag.

She turned the tag over and over, then scowled, "Are these REALLY 12 dollars?"

I just replied, "That was the tag that was REALLY on them" :Stick

HEY LADY! CALL A COP! :p :neenerbutt

She was just surprised at your honesty because you were wearing your "Obama '12" shirt.
