Push to recall California Gov. Newsom gaining steam: 'You have to see it to believe it'

You would think the vast majority of Californians would support this recall. Since all the Democrats serving in the state legislature seem to support the shutdown, you would think the vast majority of Californians would not vote for them next election. That's not what happens though in California. Even if Newsome is successfully recalled; the voters will just elect another who will tax and spend like nobody's business and support legislation controlling people's lives.

Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee are helping by adding financing through national attention they give by talking it up on the media outlets they appear on.

Add that to San Diego's Republican Mayor termed out, as of December 10th he has stepped down, and is vying to run for Governor in 2022, but rumor is he feels Newsom will be recalled and he can run once that happens.

A California Republican is not a true republican, but at least he is not a socialist...
SACRAMENTO —
The only Republican politician with a credible chance of winning major office in California is moving into position to possibly challenge Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2022.
He’s San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, 53, a rare Republican moderate who has been elected twice to lead a heavily Democratic city.

<snip>
Here’s why: Faulconer can be labeled a fiscal conservative, but he’s a social moderate — like lots of California voters.

He supports abortion rights, same-sex marriage and a path to citizenship for immigrants living in the U.S. illegally. He opposes President Trump’s proposed border wall. And he has never endorsed Trump. On guns, he’s OK with California’s strong controls. Unlike Newsom, however, he supports capital punishment — as do California voters.

"During this pandemic," Rowe added, "I've seen firsthand that everybody is essential to somebody, even if you're just working to pay your own bills. So something is going on here that is that is fundamentally upside-down. And the fact that these policies are now being instituted by leaders who have shown themselves to be the very definition of rank hypocrisy is, I'm afraid, going to lead us into a place where it's going to be very difficult to get the poop back in the goose."

It's like Fidel being replaced by Raul and everybody celebrates the "progress".

Hopefully enough signatures pass verification.
Yep... we have until March, so if they keep collecting.

The republicans have to be careful they don't make this about republicans, but about Newsoms over reach and how his arbitrary policies have hurt all people of California. I like the message Kevin Faulconer has put out showing how great this state was and can be, but has been mismanaged... it is a great foil to Newsom who has become the evil villain over the past 12 months with his arbitrary rules for thee but not for me.

In recall homestretch, GOP kicks in $250,000 to reach voters who want to oust Newsom

FEBRUARY 12, 2021 10:19 AM,
The national Republican Party is wading into the campaign to oust Gov. Gavin Newsom, chipping in $250,000 to for an outreach campaign aimed at persuading more voters to sign recall petitions.

This buy-in from national party leaders comes one month before signature collection deadline and is intended to help the final push to put a recall on the ballot.

"While schools and businesses remain closed across the state, Newsom held an indoor presser with journalists at a restaurant in a county where indoor dining isn't even available," Faulconer campaign communications director John Burke said. "Just like his French Laundry debacle, this is another case of Newsom refusing to abide by his own rules."
<snip>
Newsom touted his relief package
<snip>
...saying that the legislation will "do better to help support these small businesses through this very difficult and trying time." The bill includes $600 stimulus checks for millions of California residents, including those who are in the country illegally.

The deadline for the recall petition is March 17.

I think this about sums it up:

How interesting that we need signature verification to recall a governor, but not to elect a president.

"The petition needs just shy of 1.5 million signatures – but they need to be verified as authentic and the recall movement expects Newsom to challenge many of them in court, so they’ve continued collecting names."

So, We couldn't do that with the Presidential Election when there were clear signs of fraud? Now they want to verify authenticity of signatures?

They're all scum and the system needs to be cleaned up . But I'll bet my house and cottage that The good Governor Newsom is spending ALOT more time and effort checking "I,D's " of the people who signed the recall than most states spent checking the I,D's of the voters in our last election.........speaking of corrupt.

That’s funny. They don’t need signatures to be verified for a national election, but they do for a governor recall?

So the Recall votes need to be verified. However, during elections actual in person and mail in ballots are not verified because it is labeled voter suppression. Anyone buying this irony?

"The petition needs just shy of 1.5 million signatures – but they need to be verified as authentic" I thought it was frowned upon by the left to verify votes, ID's and signatures. It's hard to keep up with people who change the rules to suit themselves as they go.

You have to verify signatures(votes) for a recall... but no form of voter ID is required when going to the polls How backwards is our voting process...?

So, we need signatures verified on a petition, but on an anonymous mail in ballot for the presidency, it’s all good. Just look away, nothing to see here, business as usual, nothing sketchy going on.

Funny how to get rid of Newsom, we need to verify all of these signatures to prove they're real, yet to vote on any bond issues, proposition, state and local government leadership or even the POTUS, No Verifying Required

So we need verified signatures for a recall but we don’t need verified signatures for a national election that is sad

Hopefully those who normally vote Democrat see how much that party has deceived them and walk away.

I thought so too... I saw a statistic on the news that only 2% of the people in San Diego had signed the recall. That shocked me as most people standing around will admit they signed the recall to get our state opened again. Or maybe I know all 2% that signed? - doubtful.;)

Maybe the other 98% don't speak English and have not heard of the recall.

Part of the anger at Newsom is the schools are closed... and until Newsom bribed the teachers with jumping to the front of the line with a vaccine, teachers would not go back to work. Even now, it will take too long to vaccinate them, I doubt they will be back this year... Yesterday he bribed the school districts with billions to re-open, he is desperate.

Businesses are going broke, except big box stores... so now FINALLY small business owners see the damage voting for Democrats does... but they all voted for Joe in November? The people are so stupid in this state.

California did vote down all the tax increases on the ballot in November- so there is that. It is the first time all tax increase measures failed since the state switched to a higher percentage of Dem voters according to a radio show I listened to... little victories here and there.
