Police Believe Jussie Smollett Attack Was Staged (Report)

Rob Elgas, a reporter at ABC 7 in Chicago, reported Thursday afternoon that “multiple sources” said Smollett and the two men staged the attack because his character was being written off the show. Brad Edwards, a reporter at CBS Chicago, cited a source who said investigators believe the “non-cooperating 2 witnesses are co-conspirators in a potentially staged attack.” In a statement, Fox denied that Smollett was being written off the show.

Yep, was just reading about this.

I haven't seen for sure whether or not he actually was beaten up (I'm truly sorry if he was), but I am disgusted by his fabrication of the story and also those who were so giddy to pile onto Trump and MAGA supporters over it.

As I stated in a Facebook discussion; hate has many faces, and I saw a lot of hate from people who wanted to blame this on Trump supporters.

But I am happy to see the truth coming out about this.
 
It was on the news tonight, he’s still standing behind his story. The interviewer dramatically what he thought should happen to the perpetrators when caught. I turned the station. I have no idea what happened or if the claim is true.

Video showed the two men as African-Americans, not white guys with MAGA hats as was claimed.

So again, I'm truly sorry if the guy really was beaten up, but I'm angry over what appears to have been a politically driven fabrication of who did it.
 
Right now it is still unclear that he was "beaten up". Supposedly his injuries we're very minor, the kind of thing one might get in a shoving match. Leaks from the hospital say nothing of chemical burns.

I think 2 + 2 are finally equalling 4. Someone should do jail time, and right now that someone is looking like Smollett.
