NYC to ban hot dogs and processed meat in city facilities to solve global warming

This new mayor is seriously wack - a - noodle. I think he's been listening to AOC a bit much. Wonder where he's going to get $14 billion dollars? (Unless it's the fines against rich businesses that have buildings that don't meet the energy specs)

New York City is the first city in the United States to eliminate processed meats.

Mayor Bill de Blasio approved an ambitious $14 billion Green New Deal on Monday, April 22, to combat climate change. The plan will cut purchases of red meat by 50 percent in its city-controlled facilities such as hospitals, schools, and correctional facilities. The new commitment builds off of the Meatless Mondays campaign that was adopted by all NYC schools in 2017.

“It is a difficult plan. It is a necessary plan.... Estimates that tell us that we have only 12 years to get it right. Let’s be clear, we have until 2030 to change things fundamentally, or our lives won’t be the same,” de Blasio said at an Earth Day event yesterday.

By 2030, New York City's Green New Deal will reduce greenhouse emissions by 30% while also creating new jobs. Additionally, all buildings that are 25,000 square feet or more, of which there are 50,000 citywide, will be required to make efficiency upgrades that lower their energy usage and emissions or they will face steep penalties.

More details on the Green New Deal can be found here.

The wackos will take all the money in carbon offset credits... it is a continuation of redistribution of wealth - plane and simple.

This gives government, that is going broke, a way to fine big business - the predominant owners of land and buildings.

Welcome to Venezuela. Kill the golden goose - then wonder why the people are starving and have no toilet paper or medicine.

I've never had a NYC hot dog... I hear they are pretty good.
I did get to try the pizza once and it was pretty awesome.

So they are not gonna sell hot dogs at sports events anymore???

That is gonna go over about as well as the limit on the size of soft drinks in cups...

IMO...
What is really going on:
The polecats are throwing a bone to the media... to divert attention away from what they are doing, that they do NOT want the public to know.

THIS ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Is why fake news is such a serious thing...
We really need a media that pokes/prods and holds literally EVERY polecat accountable... and has the citizens best interest always first.
