.....having a new A/C unit installed, paying for it, and two days later it being 79 degrees in the house when the unit is set for 75. OH HELLO NO!!! Get someone out here, and pronto. Fix it or rip it out and refund the money so I can get someone else on the project.

I feel better now.....I called them, left a vm msg, they called back and have someone heading this way. I'm sure they'll take care of it.

Oh my. Something is definitely not right. :girlsaysno Unless they forgot to "connect" something, I would seriously consider telling them that the unit is faulty and you want another one. Just my opinion, but if something is not right from the get go, I would not feel secure in just leaving that one. (especially for that kind of money) I am so sorry you have to deal with it when you thought it was all fixed.

It worked fine all day yesterday and this morning. Just noticed it getting warm at lunch. We'll see what happens once they get here.

Do you and the Mrs. not have a pool? I get so used to so many here having them I assume we all do. Husband and I will have to have the two of you over this summer. Thank you for your kind offer, but I am not sure it would be a good thing to get you and the wife together.
(by good thing, I mean good for me, I got enough trouble like it is)

The wife's best friend, who lives in the subdivision across the street, less than a 5 minute walk or a 60 second car ride, has a pool and we have free reign there.
I have been known to get done working in the yard, walk over and just fall in with what I am wearing.
But maybe one day we can get together.

Good news....we have A/C!!! The same tech who installed it Tuesday came out tonight to check it. Freon and pressure were fine but he found a short in the low voltage wire. Said he thought it had been cut but then he got a reading on both ends, the one on the outside end was very low though. He traced it back to a chewed wire in the attic, it was the original wiring so no telling how long it had been frayed. It wasn't completely cut but wasn't passing the normal level throughout the system. Ran a new wire and presto....A/C.

And to make the night even better the dryer parts I ordered came in today. I installed them in less than 10 minutes and we now have a working dryer again.

I celebrated by a late night dip in the pool. It was a good day after all.
