My New Juke Box

Well, the modern day equivalent, anyway.

Many of you know I'm a music fanatic. I have an older computer (Pentium 4) that I put a 500 gig hard drive in, and I'm loading it up with music to make a juke box. I'll be able to control it from anywhere in or around the house from my laptop using remote access software. I'll be able to play it through the inside sound systems, or all over the back and side yards where I have speakers.

It will also have streaming capabilities for internet radio.

Yes, I'm a nerd. But I love my music. :p

Does this have an on-board sound card or a PCI card? If you have a PCI slot, I may have a pretty good Soundblaster card. Will have to open a few boxes to find it, if I didn't throw it out.

I have an open PCi slot, but it's a slimline case

I don't think I have any brakets for a streamline case but I'll take a look, or you should be able to swap them.

OK, so I bought a USB Soundblaster card. Got it installed and connected to the outdoor system today...it rocks!!

And I can control it over the internet via my laptop. :DN
