Mound Church Centennial

My church is celebrating its centennial anniversary this weekend. We became an official church in 1912 (although we didn't actually have a building until 1914). I thought I would share some posters I made to advertise.

I'll post pictures from the actual event later.

Great way to advertise the homecoming. SO many churches miss opportunities there.

And yes, I think Waski should fly us all up for it. ;D

Follow a gravel road for 15 miles? Whoa! That is out in the middle of nowhere! Your church must definitely have something going for it if people have been willing to go all the way out there for 100 yrs. :)) :)) :)) The old pictures are fun, and I love the one with the wide open prairie.

Naturally, that last one is my favorite, although you did a great job with all of them. I just love hearing about this little church waaaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere (indeed) in SW ND. We won't be there, but know that our hearts will be there...

Nice.

You have a way of invoking a feeling of nostalgia - even though I've never been there!

Centennial pictures are up down in the Night Gallery.

For fun: here are some of the founding members of the church. It used to be held in people's sod homes.

Wow! Just like in Little House on the Prairie.
