Miranda Devine: Dems' twisted COVID vaccine politicking may put our recovery at risk

I want to remind everyone that the Salk polio vaccine was not the best, just the first successful one (there were two about 20 years earlier that had serious side effects). We all had to take a second vaccine a few of years later because the Salk vaccine didn't always last and was difficult to manufacture. However, it started saving lives the moment it was given and held the virus off until the Sabin oral vaccine. Don't let perfection get in the way of the good. As long as a vaccine is safe, and the three current front-runners appear to be, then they will save countless lives. We don't need to know how long the immunity lasts for this to be true.

What kind of side effects? I was one of the 1,000,000 children beta tested on in 1954, neither I nor any of the classmates that I grew up with had any known effects, just curious.
