“We concluded that in order to create a more welcoming environment to a diverse community we’re going to forgo saying the Pledge of Allegiance before every meeting,” Council Member Tim Brausen said ahead of the vote. https://www.foxnews.com/us/protesters-chant-usa-minnesota-city-councils-nix-pledge-allegiance

Government, businesses, and other organizations are taking diversity too damn far. They have taken it to the point where the minority groups in this country are treated like the majority and the "rights" of non-citizens are more important than the rights of citizens.

They keep wanting to look for differences to split people rather than work towards making us one people... Americans.

The end is near.

I heard a thought that as our country has done away with religion - become secular, we have nothing to bind us together. Throughout time, people have fought over their view of religion, however within our own family and community we had something that bonded us.

Now you go to your family for dinner or a birthday and we are so secular now all we have is what political persuasion influences us. No longer does a family agree on much, nor do their view of the world relate. People do not want to be around each other because of all the jacked up intolerance that we see happening. In fact we are nastier and more adamant about our political view which has driven us away from each other in our family, our neighborhood, and our nation.

The person said he was in Ireland when it was the two religions against each other, he thought there would never be an end to that hate and aggression. He felt that now, worldwide, we are fighting a political view and it has splintered everything, and no one can listen to each other, or cares to be around "the other side."

He said it better and I am not conveying it as well as he did. But it was an interesting thought.
