Anyone have a decent vehicle...cheap...for sale? or owner financing?

Dang ^%#&*&%$&#&^%$ insurance companies is about to leave us without a vehicle after a very minor accident where the wife was sideswiped by another driver, that driver being at fault. But the insurance company say it will cost more to fix the car then what it's worth, so they are going to total it. And because it's an older vehicle, we will not get enough to purchase another vehicle. But are willing to do us a favor by extending the rental car for extra 5 days. :rant

I'm really sorry you are dealing with this. I generally hate insurance companies ALMOST as much as car salesmen. :)) Oh, wait. That's not a joke.

I do have a Mitsubishi Eclipse I'd love to see leave my yard, but it needs a motor (I think).

You most likely have already told them that you want the retail value of the vehicle. last time I had to deal with an at fault insurance company they tried to give me whatever they thought I would take. I told them what I wanted, they said "that's the retail value." I asked the guy "what do you think I'm going to have to pay?" I got the retail value. Just sayin.

I'll sell you my shaggin wagon for 7k. It only has 88k miles on it. No joke, I want a truck and am tired of a family shaggin wagon.
 
I wished I was getting that much from the insurance company. &^#&*&%^$&# are only giving us about $3300. This has really put us in a bad spot right now and the wife was not even at fault, the other driver hit her.

That really sucks. We had the same thing happen to us. Our truck was totaled and we owed more than what it was worth. We were lucky enough to have family spot us some money to help pay off the totaled vehicle. I always thought gap insurance was useless but now I will not buy a car without it. I will look around and try to help you out. The max you can spend is $3300?
 
Well, once we pay off a loan on the title, we'll have around $2200. We may have one lined up but if you see something, let me know.

But I'm going to milk their insurance company for as long as I can on the rental car.
