Leading up to the SOTU address...

...the media is making a "big-to-do" about all the R's and D's sitting together and wearing ribbons of cooperation, blah blah blah.

Unless they are uniting against Obama's policies, I don't want cooperation or for them to work together. If they work together, it just means we get legislation that is a little less Socialist than the crap we've gotten the last two years.

Nuh-uh, I want to see conservatives and moderates saying (pardon the language) HELL NO to the direction this country has been on. If the GOP gets in bed with the Dems again, they'll get thrown out of office again like they did in the last two elections.

Rant over...

I agree 100%.

I remember very well reading on other boards how the "Flag" and the "Pledge" were just symbols. What a big fuss liberals make over "just symbols".

This date night between republicans and democrats is just sybolism over substance. You either stand for something or you don't. People can be civil with each other without having to sit together and "play nice" like a bunch of scolded pre-schoolers.

I suppose those people who believe in symbolism will enjoy it, but it will be portrayed as the conservative seeing the error of their ways and holding hands with liberals, NOT the other way around. Tomorrow it's right back to the Octagon Cage Fight.

I don't buy it....not one bit. CONSERVATIVES...you better remember what got you there and who PUT you there. Here's a clue.....it wasn't to hold hands and make nice with the enemy.

It was nauseating to see Nancy Pelosi on " On The Record" with Greta van Susternen(sp) last night. Greta pushed her a little, and NP kept sounding like an old beat up girls doll from the 1970's( where you pull the string from the back of the doll) "innovation. innovation is the key.bipartisan.innovation. jobs up. innovation."

I couldn't watch any of it. However, in the news clips, it sure was great not to see that old witch up over Obama's left shoulder. I did learn a new defintion: Apparently, the word "invest" is now a new code word for SPEND. Just like Bill Crystal said on Fox this morning, he's going out to "invest" in breakfast, "invest" in a new i-phone, etc. When you listen to the community organizers speech again, listen to how many times the word invest is used as a synonym for spend. Oh, one more thing, 20 years from now, we're all going to have to ride on trains. hhahahahhahahaha

Oh they've used "invest" as a code word for spend for years. There's actually stupid people who fall for it.
