I found the BEST fruit. It's a bit scary looking, but you can't beat the taste! It's called a "Mamon Chino" (Chinese Sucker in Spanish) in Costa Rica but most other countries call them Rambutans.

To eat them, smoosh it between both palms to get the outside "hairy" part to crack open. Once it cracks open, there is a white fleshy inside. You pop that in your mouth, but don't bite down because there is a large seed inside. They taste like a mild grape is the best I can come up with. I take them on my morning walk/run and they make for a great travel snack.

So if you ever see one of these ugly suckers....TRY IT!!!

I'm not sure if I could even find those out here in the black hole of Georgia Rockmart. If I did, I'd have to look at it a while and talk myself into trying it. LOL
