I'd hate to be this guy right now

I have to say, what kind of human being, not just police officer, could hear those shots, know that they were aimed at children, look down at their holstered sidearm, and not rush into that building. Screw that. The excuses for not going in are precisely zero, and there is no way to spin it any other way. The lack of sound judgement is absolutely astounding.

If you can't do the job when your time is called then please don't wear the badge. I don't give a crap what "procedures" or "policies" were in place within their district, there comes a time when you have to answer the call...no matter the consequences. I would not want to be him right now.

I saw a post that said that if you think that three NRA members would hide behind a car while children were being slaughtered, you are greatly mistaken. There is a lot of truth in that.

I'm really glad that the officers from another jurisdiction reported what they saw before they took the initiative and went through that door.

He deserves all the criticism he's getting.
For the most part I've held my opinion on the topic, mainly because I'm not privy to the "normal" procedures under those circumstances. But then the more I thought about it the more clear it became that no matter the procedure, there comes a time to make an individual decision. This was one of those times. No way should a grown man who has lived half of his life sit back at a safe distance while young innocent lives are being slaughtered. Take some damn action you freaking coward.
