I Hate Ice

I love snow. I hate ice.

I don't drive much, so I never really think about my car. When it was time for church today, I went out and started scraping. The ice was so thick on my car I realized I would never get it scraped in time.

Yes, I should have started earlier. The truth is, I never thought about it until I went out to start it. So, it looks like I'll have to go to a church here in town.

This is one of my favorite lines in movies.
It is from the movie "Arthur" with Dudley Moore.

Burt Johnson: I never drink. No one in my family ever drinks.
Arthur: That's great! You probably never run out of ice your whole life!

LOL! I live that movie!

I'm sorry Waski. We've rarely had that problem. When it does ice it takes very little time for it to defrost or scrape. So glad I live in the south. Lol

Ummm, I also hate ice. One BIG reason I left Chicago for the sunny South. Sorry Waski. :dunno

I will tell you this, if it's cold outside hot water won't help, it just refreezes (don't ask how I know). A blow dryer works but you have to be very, very careful with the extension cord. Other than that, if there is ice on my windshield or the road, I'm probably not going anywhere. That's what I love about Georgia, everything shuts down so I don't have to feel guilty about it either. ;D

Put plastic over the windshield, held in place by the doors. Works great for frost, ice and snow.

I hate it as well. It's too bad you don't have a garage to put your car in.

Mix a bottle of rubbing alcohol with a couple of gallons of water and slowly pour over the ice. Don't use hot water, it can crack the glass due to rapid expansion.

I'm with you Waski, except I hate snow, ice, and cold weather in general. Stay warm up there!!!
