They bug me constantly about updating our service and contract. I'm always fielding calls about that.
They contacted us about a month ago to transition our service to U-verse. When the technician came out last week, he spent hours here, because after he did it, he realized that with our wiring, it wasn't feasible for our business. So he had to switch everything back over.
Now, neither my fax machine nor my credit card machine work. Grrr...
I have a long standing feud with them from when we first began our company back in 1995. Back then long distance charges were 20-25cents per minute, since the majority of our business is out of state our phone bills were fairly hefty. I renegotiated our rates several times as they began to fall (cell phone use increased) and had I not held onto this one specific piece of paper where they faxed me a proposal I would have owed them over $25k. They threatened to sue us many times and I challenged them to proceed, I knew the accurate proposal and what I had agreed to, and had it in writing.
We have them for cell, tv, and internet and they are better than anyone else we've had. Not really saying all that much but still ...
Of course that is residential and some of you are talking commercial issues/service and from the residential side it helps a ton that we're practically sitting on top of a u-verse hub, junction, or whatever they call it.
