I hate mowing. The only benefit I see in it is exercise (and keeping the cops from visiting my house). Luckily, this has been a dry summer,

...and I use a push mower. I'm too cheap to buy anything else, and a rider would eliminate the only benefit there is.

I have a story about a self propelled mower............the one that the lever put a bruise on my wrist. I had no clue what it was for, man those hills were rough. Husband was very understanding, while he was laughing under his breath.

A self-propelled mower? Is that just another way of saying "I propelled myself off of the couch to pay the neighbor's kid for mowing my lawn." If so, I've done that before...

I didn't know the mower was self propelled, that darn lever that I had no idea what it was, kept getting in my way and actually bruised my wrist. Yea, I pushed it all the way, up and down hills. :whistle

Husband walked over to put the thing away, pushed that little lever and off they went............... :dunno

Seriously, people. Get a freaking self propelled PUSH mower! Then you will know what mowing is all about!

That's what I have and I love cutting our grass. It's one of the many, many things that I am missing this year since I can't do it. Hubby sure is glad the boy child is old enough to take over for me. )
