Why cook them when you can buy them hot and fresh? :cantbelievemyeyes

I can make them at home for less than half price and I do not have to drive all the way down to dallas to get my fix.

I can stop and buy them on my way home and not have to mess up my kitchen... Besides, I don't have a waffle iron so we couldn't have the yummy waffle fries that go with them.

It's all in priorities... ;D

Hey, I could drive a long way in an hour and ten minutes. Plus I wouldn't stink up the kitchen.

One hour of that is marinade time, so it really only takes a few minutes to fry em up.

Don't be fooled by the note at the bottom. If a recipe calls for powered sugar, you can't use the same amount of granulated. There is a conversion rate. Although it's true, you can make your own powered sugar. :D

These turned out great, you could not taste the difference.

I did make a few changes in the recipe:

I used thin chicken breast strips instead of whole breasts for faster even cooking.

I let them sit in the pickle juice marinade for two hours instead of one.
(went outside to play soccer with the kiddo and lost track of time...)

I used brown sugar in the place of powdered sugar.

I had to double the ingredient amounts for a family meal.

Fryed them up in a cast iron skillet with 1/4 inch of peanut oil.

Overall I have to say this recipe is the real deal... the flavor profile was exactly the same.
