"Guard" dog versus "watch" dog

Mrs. Mac came home around 11:30 last night. I was asleep, although I did rouse enough to notice the garage door going up and her coming. Our dog/puppy was sleeping on the bed - and we had been curious how she would react. Well, after she came in the house, the dog managed to wake up and sit up in bed. She stayed on the bed, until Mrs. Mac came in the room. Then she started wiggling, on the bed, until Mrs. Mac called her off the bed.

So, we know she isn't a guard dog .... She does a great job of watching tho.

What kind of dog?

She's a rescue. Little bit of this, little bit of that. Mrs. Mac calls her our "designer dog." Parts of border collie, lab, pit, terrier, boxer, etc. She's under 40 pounds, very sweet, and super smart.
