Unless your child is going to have a mani/pedi, facial, or massage they do not belong running around and annoying others at a salon. I like kids. I volunteer hundreds of hours a year in schools my child has not even ever attended, but come on. If I am paying for a service that I would like to sit back for a few minutes and relax I should not have your offspring running and jumping through the place! :rant

(Now I know that some do go and get this things done, that is fine. This was a 3/4 year boy that was not getting and did not have anything done. I was only doing a pedicure. If I had been doing a facial or massage I would have asked for my money back, no way could you relax or not hear that.)

Oh, I agree. I do not put up with that. I don't even let BabyB act up in public. He really never does, but the one or two times he has, we're out. Before we had kids, we avoided family type places - I can't stand kids that run around, stand in the booth and stare, loud, etc. etc. However, now I'm a mom and I understand at times your kid will act up. But, to do nothing about it is a different story.

Ugh. I dislike most other kids and parents. And, well, people in general. LOL

I totally understand kids acting up, they are kids. I have to accept that sometimes in a restaurant, shopping, or grocery store it is going to happen. BUT.....They should not be in a place that there is no reason for them to be there! What are these people thinking?

Oh, and the nephews KNOW not to pull crap when they are with me. They are very well-behaved, I'm happy to say, but even if they thought about something, they know better. Homey don't play that game.

Yeah, I pretty much dislike other children, too. The daughter was taught to BEHAVE when we were in public. She does the same as I. If you act up- we will leave and that is end of story. I would never even think about taking the grand with me when I get a pedi. OMG! The chaos would drive me out of my mind.

Oh, and if you have a child and she tries to take something from mine- back up NOW!!!!! Especially HER food.

ummm, yeah. Some children are not taught any kind of manners. aaarrrgggghhhhhh!!!!

I hate going to a restaurant and having to listen to other people's little kids acting up. Mine were taught to behave themselves when we were in any public place.

The several times I went out to dinner with a certain girl and her 2yo was with us....the kid sat and ate quietly, and if she caused a ruckus, she got spanked right there. I think out of three months, I've seen it happen once. She's got a good mama, regardless of the nonsense that I put up with for so long.

Generally, I don't like kids, but this thread is why. It's not the child, it's the lack of parenting. So maybe I just hate parents.
:)) :thumbsup
