Free pool heater update

For those of you who remember the thread about my invention...


Still working well. The water temp has dropped a couple of degrees below the set point now that the weather has cooled, but the A/C is in setback during the day, so it isn't running very much right now. Still, the pool is holding at about 86 degrees without the gas heater on. Normally, the pool is much cooler in these temps. And we're not done with summer just yet, so it will warm back up I'm sure.

I enjoyed a nice swim tonight. I'd keep it warm year 'round if I could afford it.

Something solar would work. They use lots of black plastic pipe on roofs in Florida to help keep the water warmer.

While that would help, it wouldn't be enough heat in the dead of winter. And, freezing is a problem. There are ways to address all this, but the cost is too high.

Well hurry up and figure it out pool man! I gotta steal the idea and sell it for millions!
