First really heavy rain that I can remember since fall

I had a new shed installed yesterday, I guess all this rain is stress testing it for sure. F

All my ditches clogged up completely with leaves. I imagine that Dabbs Bridge Raceway is flooded out. There are several pipes under the road that are undersized and always fill up with leaves in the fall/winter.

There were two warnings issued yesterday for the northeast part of the state. One is for wind, and the other is for flash flooding. The warnings are until 7 tonight. The temp was supposed to get down to 29 last night but only dropped to 40. Around 7 last evening, White County Schools announced they would be closed today. I thought that was a little premature.

We faired pretty good here, no trees down and ditch lines held so far. The Queen got to work without any issue other than the traffic lights blinking at the intersection of Hwy 61 and Ridge/Mulberry Rock.

The hype down here was pretty high. Many schools down here closed today and most businesses closed at least until noon. Fortunately, the actual storm wasn't that bad. The wind was pretty intense for a few hours though.

They get some nasty storms down there, I remember them well.

Rain?

Rain?

That sounds vaguely familiar.

I think I've seen it in a movie.
