Finally got my dream speakers

I've had my eyes out for two vintage Klipsch speakers for some time, they finally popped up on Facebook Marketplace a couple of weeks ago. I's love to have one of their Heritage line, but they are huge money and huge cabinets. That aside, I wanted a pair of either KLF-20s or Chorus IIs.

This is the KLF-20, I snagged a pair of them for a deal! Poor guy's wife was divorcing him, and she apparently got everything BUT his sound equipment. I could turn these around tomorrow and double my money, but I like them. Their only weakness was the tweeter, but I got a pair of titanium replacement diaphragms for $50, and they make the speakers sound amazing!

I'm jamming to them in the basement for now, but they will go into the theater room as soon as it's done.

Nice!

So, upgraded the pool area, added an outdoor kitchen, finishing up a privacy fence, and starting a theater room. So, you planning to have the party soon?

Yeah... when you build the basement theatre... and get a really BIG 3D TV...

You can take the old one out and figure out a way to do it at the pool... grin.

Floating on a float, with ones preference of adult beverage, watching the DAWGS whup up on Bama...
Now THAT would be a party... :D
Doing a 120" screen.

Alll I can see is this:

Doing a 120" screen.

120" screen...

I had a 93" in the old theatre...
This is one place where bigger IS better!

Wonder when 'they' are gonna bring out 'surround TV...
A continuous flexible screen that is 7'-10" tall, that you line 3 walls of the room... then do the software configuration... and it feels real.

OTOH... holographics would put that to shame... :)

I was going to sell our house, cash out all of my retirement savings and spend the last of our kids' college fund, pool all of the money together and buy a pair of these:

Congrats on the purchase. nicely done.

I told my wife that we needed a new stereo amp and that it was practically free !

She asked: How free?

I replied: Well, it's now on sale at half price, so we can buy it with the money we save!

I'm still listening to the old amp......
