Domestic Terrorism...

I wish more people could see what the left is trying to do here.

They should be afraid!

The left wants to portray Americans who own firearms as being domestic terrorists. You have to wonder why they oppose the right to own firearms. Could it bee they want an unarmed citizenry so that once they are in power, they stay in power?

For you Stephen King fans, (you know you're out there)...........

If King pulled "Rage" due to Columbine, is he going to pull "Mr. Mercedes" for Virginia?

Asking for a friend.

Rage was a very short and not a well written book. I might have been aware he let it fall out of print, but I can not remember. His one about a plane flying into a building was not pulled was it after 9/11?

Not sure if you mean The Running Man or The Langoliers. One was made a movie and the other a TV miniseries, although if memory serves, the plane crashing in to building parts were removed from both and both were before 9/11/2001.

Rage was a short story in the "The Bachman Books" book that was, after Columbine, reprinted with Rage excluded, at King's insistence.
Papi bought me a first edition "The Bachman Books" with Rage included. Not worth a ton, but to a fan, worth a lot since Rage is no longer in active print.

I was mostly thinking out loud.

It was The Running Man I was thinking about. I do not really watch many movies or tv so I do not have a clue if they were removed or not, we will go with your memory. :)
I did not read Rage as part of a collection. It was a stand alone book I read back in the late 80's. I remember thinking even as a young teen, that it was off...the reactions and what happened in the classroom. I also did not like the ending, but that said, it did make me pick up King books and I loved them.

There, fixed it.

:runaway:

King is an ultra-liberal, which shows up in his later writing and is the reason I quit reading him.

He truly is and it has started to bleed over into his writing, but I admit, I'm still a fan.
Some of his recent stuff has been really good.

Interesting you should say that as rumors on the internet say Steven is not writing anymore, but his kids are ghost writing!!! Some of these folks come up with some pretty good arguments about current technology and verbiage that only young people would use,,, couldn't prove any of it by me though, but very interesting concept. I'm struggling with the last book of the Bill Hodges trilogy,,, very aggravating!!!

Have you seen the TV series Mr. Mercedes on Audience? (ATT channel)
Three episodes in and they are doing a really good job with it. A little change with the Bill Hodges' love interest, but I can see how that was necessary for the conversion from book to screen play. (2 characters got merged to one)
