Cilantro

Rolling down the highway
Do you like it?? I love cilantro. My daughter hates it and so did my mom. Said it tastes like soap to them. I've heard this before.

i also love love love the smell

See me too. I can put it in regular salads, it doesn't have to be Mexican anything. I love, love. love fresh salsa with fresh cilantro.

Yuck! It tastes like soapy grass to me. It's tolerable only in certain things in small amounts.

Some of those comments are hysterical.............I especially liked this one.

Thank you for this write-up!!!

All right all you naysayers in this comment thread: I hate Cilantro! Do you know how many meals that I've ordered and sent back at restaurants because there was no mention of Cilantro in the description? TONS - all to the embarrassment of my friends and family, who repeatedly tell me how bitchy it is when I do it. I now have to ask everywhere I go, if the food that I'm ordering has even the least amount of Cilantro in it. If Cilantro is present at all, then the meal is ruined. It sucks! I have choked down numerous soapy dishes trying to force myself to get over it and it just isn't possible. Prolonged exposure doesn't work. If someone tells you that they hate this vile herb, they mean it. Please respect that and stop trying to force anti-Cilantrontists to like it, they never ever will.

Maybe I just like soap? :dunno

Seriously, I've never thought that. And I love cilantro - especially when it's fresh.

Cilantro has nothing on caraway or fennel seeds. Those 2 are god awful tasting to me.

mmmmm, I love both of those. Caraway is so good in homemade sauerkraut!! If you've ever had authentic Italian sausage, it has fennel in it. Even after 10 years, it's still pretty potent. ;D

If its made right I do like it. As in finely ground in sausage. I've had meals where they put the whole dang seed in there. I don't like it that way.
