If case you guys didn't know, Stellantis is in trouble. They were riding high not too long ago, but sales have tanked and some of the brands are left without an apparent future.
The Chrysler brand will probably not survive. Last I checked, I believe they have a grand total of one automobile to sell.
Dodge is shooting themselves in the foot with both barrels. They killed one of their most popular cars, the Challenger, and are making a big deal out of the Charger EV. There will also be a gas powered Charger, but it's obvious that their push is for the EV. Beyond that, nothing they sell is worth a crap. Killing the HEMI is not working well for them so far.
Jeep is probably safe, RAM trucks as well, even though their sales are down some for now. Some of their non-American brands are on the chopping block as well.
IMO, they have made a lot of bad decisions, jumping head first into the EV push was a lot of it. Some of us here predicted this would end up putting the auto manufacturers in financial trouble, and it's happening now. Ford and Chevy are reeling as well, but not in trouble just yet.
The heir to the Chrysler brand has proposed a way out, but now I'm reading Stellantis told him to pound sand.
My father was a Mopar guy from way back, and I have always liked them too. It's very sad to see them possibly dying. It didn't have to happen; they just needed to continue giving the people what they wanted instead of what the government said they needed.
