Aviation Academy funds approved by Senate

Mrs. Stonewall was at the capital today and talked to Senator Heath. The senate approved $35 million for the aviation academy at Paulding Silver Comet West Atlanta Carruth Rakestraw Shearin Good Ole Boy International Airport. Governor Deal had proposed the concept and then withdrew funds to aid farmers in South Georgia. The bill also passed the HOR that eliminates the introduction of refusal to submit to a roadside DUI test into the court case against a defendant. This seems to be a public defender/ defense attorney's dream at the cost of the prosecutor. I am and have been anti-airport since the 90's but do think the academy is a good decision. Maybe the good ole boys private strip will generate something back to the taxpayers.

Good news which will probably be another nail in the commercial coffin too. I'd love to see some AP businesses open up there offering good jobs.

A slight retraction here. The DUI case was not a bill in the HOR it was a ruling from the SCOGA. Justice Ellington was who told my wife about the ruling. The end result of the ruling is still a strike against prosecution and a win for defenders. Sorry it was my misunderstanding.
