Amazon Shipping

Amazon guy actually got out of his truck, walked up to the door, rang the bell, and handed me my package today. I can't remember the last time a delivery driver did that. I thanked him and told him how impressive that was.
Go on the website and write a letter of thanks... explaining how rare that is! We should not have to... but I like to acknowledge exceptional workers because we live in a world seems to have fewer and fewer.

Still no delivery from Amazon. Two packages pending (one due Friday, one due yesterday). Sigh.

I guess this is not the place to say that I like UPS, AMZL, and USPS. I do not like FedEx.

This reminds me....it's time to shop on Amazon again. I haven't ordered anything in a couple of weeks.

I've requested that my Amazon orders now be delivered only by 28 year old girls, wearing bikinis and riding stingray bicycles.

I realize that it's a rather odd request on my part, however.... if you don't ask, the answer is always 'no'.

USPS fail: I got a sympathy card in the mail yesterday from someone in Austell that sent it last June when my mother passed away. It was postmarked June 2018 so it's been sitting in some post office for almost a year. It did make it to my new condo which is good but it also had a big chunk taken out of it. Very odd.

All my shipments from the last couple of weeks have been on time with no problems.

It's kinda scary!

Kudos to UPS - Yesterday they had to deliver a package to our house, but the road was blocked by construction. The driver walked 300 yards up the gravel road, between construction equipment to get to our house,,, then walked back again.
We've got one heck-of-a UPS delivery driver!!!!
THANKS UPS!!!

We had a driver a few years ago who was like that. He ran the route my home is. Well, we had ordered some concert tickets, and they were to be delivered to my house the Friday before the Saturday concert. Only problem is, they sent the tickets signature required, and we were not there. He saw the sign in our flower bed, one of the signs that list our first names followed by "The______" (Last name), and since he used to run the route where my office is, he recognized our names. He knew that we needed them the next day and drove the tickets to my office to make sure we got the, Super guy!

LOL. I attempted several weeks ago to order a new backpanel for my fireplace. (Prefab one)

1st one: Delivered by UPS, did not ask me to inspect it, cracked. Marked fragile, but they broke it anyway.
Vendor said they'd open a claim, but couldn't ship for a week as they were closed for July 4th week. I said OK, see you on the 8th.
2nd one: Imagine my surprise when I get another box on the 3rd. Delivered by Fedex from another vendor. Seems the insurance people tried to ship one. Didn't put fragile on. Really Cracked this time.
3rd one: R&L Truck lines. Vendor said they'd ship this one via truckline on a pallet so it doesn't get broken. Supposed to be delivered today between 1-5. Finally called at 4:30 since I didn't get a call from the driver. Customer service sees no note, so calls the terminal here. They can't find the pallet. They've looked all over the dock and in all the local trailers. Great.

I'm three for three so far.
