A prayer of Thanks

Blondie

Don't blame me, I voted for the other guy!
My mom had some bad pain in her stomach a few months ago. She went to the doc and they did an x-ray and said her bowel was backed up. She had to get a colonoscopy set up and the doc said he felt a lump inside her. She had a colonoscopy today and the doc said he did not find anything at all. So, it must have been her bowels back up like it was originally stated. :cheer1 :cheer1 :cheer1 :cheer1

Great news! Are they giving her anything, or suggest, to keep that from happening? I know it had to be quite uncomfortable.

She was so excited when she called me this morning, I do not know. I do know the first doc said she needs to add more fiber to her diet, but she's being stubborn. He was naming off foods and I gave her some too, but she just laughed a kind of fake laugh she does when she is not going to do something. I'm sure she will feel a lot better for awhile now that she has drank those meds for the colonoscopy.. :))

LOL. Tell her if she doesn't mind her doc, she'll have the pleasure of drinking that stuff every few months. :))

Is she good about drinking water? My granny was awful about not drinking enough. I don't see how she wasn't in a perpetual state of dehydration...seriously. My mom isn't much better about it either, but she has IBS so she freaks out a little bit about drinking "too much" water.

All my mom drinks is coffee in the morning and water the rest of the day. She may have a cup of milk every now and then, but not often.

Me, not so much of a water drinker...LOL I'm a sweet tea drinker. But, hey, all tea is, is flavored water. :D

LOL...granny didn't drink much of anything. That was our problem. Every time we'd get fix something for her to drink, encouraging her to stay hydrated, she'd holler at us "Quit poking that glass in my face!". :))
