Under a program the state launched in partnership with a host of public and private agencies to put homeless veterans to work, he is earning $12 an hour and living in a FEMA trailer. He is taking part in the Arizona Action Plan to End Homelessness Among Veterans, and he said it has changed his life.
 
Now that is the kind of thing that I can get behind. Taxpayer money but ... we're getting something for our $. He is actually working and earning that money.


(I happen to be a big fan of supporting our vets too but looking at it strictly from the fiscal side for now.)

I like the idea too. The vets would rather work for any money then to have it handed to them. I also love the fact that they are working with the VA.
