R.I.P. Roy CLark

He was one of the best guitarists ever, and self taught too. Talent like his is a natural gift and I'm thankful he shared it with us so many years.

He is the reason my taste in music is so eclectic. My folks liked big bands, blues, and the country crooners. I was growing up a rock and roller...then came HeeHaw. A bunch of us kids would sit on the floor watching while my father would yell at us to shut up. That was when I realized that country music embraced insturmental talent too.

I admit my failure in recognizing his talent years ago. There are only a handful that can even come close to him in my opinion.
