I can only guess at the reason why Trump supports her to be speaker of the house. My guess is he knows she will be so bad and piss so many people off, that it will not only help his election in 2020, but increase the number of GOP seats and not just regain the House, but by a much wider margin. I strongly believe she was the primary reason the Dems lost the majority during the Obama administration; she was always in front of the cameras defending every bad policy as if her life depended upon it. Voters saw through that.

The longer range view... is to stack SCOTUS and to get as many federal judges appointed and confirmed as possible. We can 'undo' a lot of the crap Nancy does in 2021. Besides... It would be a hoot to see Trump come up with a name for her... and use it endlessly in the media... grin!

Next she wants to hamstring Trump with investigations, possibly initiate impeachment hearings, and unleash Maxine Waters of California as the incoming chairman of the powerful Financial Services Committee on the banking and investment industry. (Since Wall Street and many of the big banks showered Dems with money this cycle, it’s hard to feel sorry for them. What did they think were buying?)
Maybe Pelosi will try to declare America a sanctuary country and shut down the border patrol. And perhaps her green allies will help her shut down all fossil-fuel development in America — thereby turning off the lights and putting many millions of workers out of jobs. You go, girl.
In other words, Pelosi will give Americans a front-row seat into what “progressive” governance looks like up front and personal when the crazies are back running the show. It isn’t pretty, but it’s much better for voters to discover the madness of the modern Democratic party now than two years from now when the stakes will be so much larger. Trump finally has what he’s been missing since he vanquished Crooked Hillary two years ago: a foil.

Yea, but her health has been seriously going down lately. I wonder how long she will be able to last under the load. It's one thing to be the minority leader who's job is to make noise no one pays attention to except he the party faithful, (see Gingrich, Newt - 1989 to 1995), but it's another to actually have to deal with power. I have to wonder if the party knows this and her appointment is being promoted to appease a certain part of their followers, knowing that she will be gone soon and then they can place another congresscritter there that will appease a different part of their party and will actually be in power closer to the next elections in two years. Now is the *best* time to have an extremist like Pelosi in power, in a year or so, they can put a moderate in the speakers seat and attack the President and the GOP for the elections.

Really shows the dysfunction of voters in this country. That she was voted to represent her constituents... the constituents are not the brightest crayons in the box.
The woman has been losing it for the past decade. Her mind seems to be failing. But most believe she will be Speaker.
Just as Pubs had John Boehner as Speaker of the house and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. How could those two have been the BEST to be the voice of conservatives when they seemed to be anything but conservatives.
Democrats are showing their dysfunction in a lot of ways right now, including election fraud.
