I read about it a few days ago. It's been pretty widely covered. I hate to think that the death of this young woman is being used as political fodder.

Who beheads an autistic child by sawing her neck with a knife? "Aguilar told investigators that Palomino held his hand with the knife and moved it back and forth to behead the 13-year old. How horrifying.

Oh, and killing a grandma ... begs the question who else have they killed? Inject them with whatever will kill them and put and end to their lives. Some people do not deserve mercy. EVER!

Worse yet...they let a person on a green card, Palomino, who was in possession of a bunch of methamphetamine out on Bail? ... If he was not let out - the grandma and girl might still be alive.

With a green card, no crime can be committed or you lose the right to be in the USA, why did they let him have bond? He should have been in jail until trial for the meth and then deport his happy ass after he served his time.

The Huntsville Police Department arrested Palomino on May 8 in possession of 34 grams of methamphetamine. He was arrested on the 3000 block of Triana Boulevard in Huntsville.

Authorities took him to the Madison County Jail, where he faced a $10,000 bond before bonding out.

How the system does not seem to be able to prosecute criminals...

Due to all the BS rules in the system...

Perhaps we need to put folks in charge of the system...
Which understand law and order...
Rather than playing legal games...
While the rest of us are vulnerable.

And guess what...
The folks that play games making the rules...
Are both behind gated communities, and have armed bodygaurds.

Something is definitely ROTTEN here!!!

Widely covered my ass, mostly just local media and the AJC.

These murders took place in early June.

Spare me the sanctimony...

I first read it from my friend's post on the story and she lives in Cincinnati. I agree with the fact that they were covered, maybe not headline news, but in all reality, there are so many horrible things happening every single day most are not going to run as the headline or not for long.

I first came across the story in a British tabloid (DM) on July 15th,
I could not find one major media outlet reporting on the story before that date.

I searched and searched and searched. (all local outlets with the exception of the AJC.)

(They have now started giving the story minor coverge within the past couple of days.)

At the time I made the original post not a single one of them had covered the story... ;)

I am having trouble linking it from my FB, but on the 13th is when I read the story. It was a Boston 25 national news story. After I read it, again on the 13th I saw it on WSB. It seemed like it showed up on many of my friend's posts soon after, though I have no idea what the date was that they posted. So I am not sure why you think it was not covered or being suppressed. :emoji_shrug: It is one horrific story SADLY among many others.

FTR I totally believe that there are drug cartels in our backyard.
 
The only news about this I have seen, I read about it here.

I watch and read a lot of news. I never saw it reported on TV here on the west coast. I just checked ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX here and nothing.

Of course it is not PC in the progressive west to report anything associated with the cartels of Mexico. There is always a large push back of protesters anytime news against Mexico or cartels happen. It is a mess. Protest against the border wall with a narrative that the wall is not needed, there is no danger in an open border, it is just families from South American countries who are in danger of staying in their country from the gangs there... these nice families are coming here seeking a safe life. No drug cartels or bad people from those South American countries would ALSO cross that open border.

Give me a break.:nono:
