...I thought he gave a good speech. He wasn't overly smug but also wasn't politically correct. The markets are responding accordingly this morning.

I still need to watch it. I plan to do that today. I heard lots of positive feedback except from the usual suspects....
 
I popped in and out of the room and wasn't paying a whole lot of attention, but what I did see was a lot of feel good generalities and not much if any policy. I more expected he would lay out an outline for Congress and try to get the people in TV land on board. What I saw was another campaign speech, albeit probably his best one. JMHO

I watched it today.

Very good speech, all about compassion and harmony. Very positive. That's the message he needed to send.

Polls, so far, show that it was very well taken.
