Love this

So true. But that doesn't stop the Dems from trying to crucify hm before he's even sworn in.

I still say he can't possibly be as bad as Hillary woulda been.

Are you kidding me? It's a polar shift. No matter what happens we just turned the tide on the final downward spiral into globalist/socialist hell. We changed the direction to Pro America.

And not one of the other Republican candidates could've beaten Hillary. All that crap about Kasich projections during the primary was total garbage. Yeah that's the candidate the establishment wanted for the Republican candidate. Because she would've killed him.

Trump will make mistakes. But he's already changed the direction of things. If he does nothing more than break the strangle hold of PC then we're winning. Be thankful.

Agreed, exept for one of the other candidates beating Hillary. I think a couple of them could have wasily.

I agree. I don't believe any of the other candidates could have jazzed up the voters like Trump. Not only the typical voter, but those who either hadn't voted in years or ever before in their lifetime. And I believe so much of it was the unorthodox, anti political correctness. And I thought it was just me that was so completely SICK of it being shoved down my throat for years.

In recent years, republicans have devolved into mealy-mouthed wusses who were afraid to say anything derogatory about Obama's policies for fear of being called a racist or anything derogatory about Hillary for fear of being called sexist. If the other Trumpers were like me, they were standing and cheering for the things Trump said because no one else had the guts to do it.

And no matter what anyone thinks about abortion, I have NEVER heard a presidential candidate have the guts suggest that he would appoint judges to the Supreme Court who might seek to overturn Row vs. Wade. I swear that I was floored when he actually said that in the last debate. You talk about putting all of your cards on the table and not giving a crap about what anyone thought about it.

I doubt it. Cr

Amen preach it.

The GOP had lost it's spine somewhere along the way. Scared to death they might offend someone. Trump said what he thought. And everyone gasped. But lightning didn't strike him. And Americans realized that maybe (just maybe) it was ok to speak the truth and say what you think. What a concept.

:sarcastic:None at the time of the elections could have come close. There was not 3 billion people standing on that stage running for republican nominee for no reason. No one could agree on one. Trump deciding to run did get the people energized about this election. All the others, whether they were smart enough for the position or not, could not get the people riled up and to the polls. Even many here did not believe Trump and his more moderate and in your face approach could stop the Hillary train, myself included, I thought it was her "turn", yet he did.
No way anyone else could have done what he did at this time.

That's exactly how I saw it. He sent people to the polls. And was our only hope. Thank God.

My opinion....Trump didn't win with a huge outpouring of new votes. He won with a smaller percentage of the overall vote than Romney got in 2012 and fewer overall votes than Clinton (yes, I know popular vote doesn't matter). I think he won mostly because Hillary is just horrible thus other candidates like Rubio or Kasich probably would have won also.

He did get the voters out in areas that count. ;) Otherwise he would not have won the electoral. Though I agree Hillary is horrible, and I did like Rubio a lot,I do not see R or K winning. They just did not have good campaigns. Maybe it was their advisors, I do not know. I wished Rubio would have waited.
I just think for those that think that others could have beat Hillary, they should ask why do they think that when they could not beat Trump? Trump was an easier target, at least it seemed to me, than Clinton. I do not believe the others would have had the electoral votes Trump did, heck, I can hardly believe Trump got the electoral votes he did!:D

Trump had his group of supporters who were very loyal. But he also had extremely high negatives, as high or higher than Hillary's.

The polls were not wrong. But polls cannot predict turnout, and as I said all along, turnout decides elections. Hillary simply didn't have the hard support that Obama did. Even a lot of the Democrat faithful really didn't like her so much, and many of them didn't go vote, especially among minorities. The e-mail scandal and Wikileaks hurt her a lot. The puttygate issue and resulting fallout hurt Trump too, but it didn't seem to be a problem for as many people as Hillary's mess did.

Besides Trump's faithful; I think most of the people who voted for him were really voting against Hillary. While the end result is the same; it doesn't count as actual support for Trump.

The bottom line was; the voters decided Hillary sucked more than Trump did.

I watched the polls from early on. They consistently showed Trump losing to Hillary and at about the same margin that the final polls did (see turnout above). Some of the other candidates fared much better against her. Carson fared the best, consistently beating her in a theoretical match-up. But that was also before his performance during the debates made him look a but too weak to be president. Rubio did well against her in the polls. And I do think Cruz would have beaten her had he not been destroyed by terrible lies about him. And this needs to be said; some of the worst lies came from the Trump camp and his fake news sites. Yes,, I know that for fact.

It's done now, and I'm glad Hillary lost. I voted for Trump in the general election and I am cautiously optimistic that he will do well for our country.

Wow, I did not know you were a Trump insider. :D And Creepy Cruz would never have won. :sorry:
