Man suing on behalf of his aborted fetus

This is not meant as a slight towards women but shouldn’t men have the same rights as women or am I being unrealistic here?

I think a man should have the same claim to his unborn child, yes.
And this would be the reason to not have sex with a woman that is not your wife.

Man or woman, when you are sleeping with people who you are not married to there is no "contract" to cooperate and live in a way you both agree.

Cold truth of our current society:

She gets knocked up ... she will most likely be raising that child alone.

She may not have any financial help from the person who impregnated her....

He gets someone pregnant ... he may never even know that he got someone pregnant.....

He will most likely have little to no say about if the child is aborted or kept.

AND his parental involvement will depend on what the court allows him unless he knocks up a woman who wants to let the baby's daddy have contact with the child. Which she will probably have other kids from other men she is not married to either... so it's a real crap shoot how messy the whole visitation thing gets.

My wife won't let me have sex with anyone else, so that settles that.

Then there are the girls who want to get knocked up... want a baby... have NO INTENTIONS of the father ever being part of the arrangement...
OTHER than as much child support as they can get out of him.

I agree... if you are not interested in family... be absolutely sure there is 'protection'... or abstain!

That is my whole point. Our society and the way it is acceptable to live and behave has made everyone feel they can go out and claim victim... when it was their behavior that put them right where they are.

He was the idiot... she was the idiot.

If he thinks every child from conception deserves to live, is he willing to accept the thought that each time he has sex, the potential to create a child exists? He should think about, or rethink who he dates, and refrain from that activity until he finds the woman to marry and have a family.

He caused the abortion just as much as she did. He impregnated a 16 year old... a child.

Magers, who was 19 years old at the time, had pleaded with his girlfriend, who was 16, not to get the abortion. She did so anyway, Helms said.
<snip>
"I'm here for the men who actually want to have their baby," he said. "I believe every child from conception is a baby and deserves to live."
